The Accelerator by Metavallon Reaches its Zenith With a High-Impact Mission to Silicon Valley and San Francisco
October 20, 2016. For an entire month, The Accelerator 2016 investee team Tesibit had the incredible opportunity to roam the U.S. soil. Organized as part of the rigorous 4-month business acceleration program offered by Metavallon, Tesibit embarked on an exciting mission of growth, networking, and investor pitching.
In September 2016, Vasiliki Ntampasi, Co-Founder and CEO at Tesibit and Alexandra Choli, Founder and Managing Director at Metavallon, travelled to the States as part of The Accelerator’s much anticipated U.S Mission.
Through it, Tesibit had the unparalleled opportunity to walk in the innovation-driven streets of Silicon Valley and San Francisco, explore a major ecosystem, meet with successful U.S.-based entrepreneurs, present its groundbreaking solution to mighty international investors, and employ to the fullest Metavallon’s international arsenal of experts and market allies!
All eyes on Tesibit – What happened in San Francisco
During the high-profile U.S. Mission, the team at Tesibit worked hard and passionately to seize this unmatched opportunity. Empowered by Metavallon’s training, mentoring, and guidance, Tesibit:
- Participated in rigorous innovation-driven hackathons, meetups, and networking events, including Techcrunch Disrupt Hackathon 2016 and the API: World Hackathon.
- Had the chance to meet with the masterminds behind innovative ventures and institutions, such as Numenta and Silicon Valley Clean Water.
- Presented its cutting-edge solution to high-level Ericsson professionals. Tesibit also received advice and insights on issues pertaining to automation, growth, and strategy as part of the Swedish tech giant’s partnership with Metavallon.
- Connected with inspiring U.S.-based startup founders who shared their business experience and advice with the team at Tesibit, including Greek startup Bugsense that was acquired by Operation Intelligence colossus Splunk.
- Met with Randy Williams, Founder and CEO of Keiretsu Forum, a global investment community of accredited private equity venture capitalists, angel and corporate/institutional investors.
- Joined numerous pitching sessions and received useful feedback and significant insights by mighty angel and institutional investors and members of the Metavallon US network, such as Niko Βonatsos of General Catalyst Partners and Nick Arvanitidis, founder of the Silicon Valley Greek Seed Funding Group.
- Caught up with the latest trends in the field of technology by visiting leading future-shaping tech giants, such as Twitter and Google.
The payout – How is Tesibit building upon the Metavallon U.S. Mission
With their luggage full of effective feedback, the team at Tesibit will be using the most important insights they came across while in the U.S. as a powerful tool to propel their business forth in the most dynamic way.
As the charismatic Vasiliki Ntampasi states: “We are extremely happy with the remarkable results of our trip to Silicon Valley and San Francisco. Metavallon introduced to its amazing network of entrepreneurs, experts, potential market allies and investors.”
And she continues enthusiastically: “Our U.S. Mission was truly an unfathomable experience – one that it is hard to bounce back from. Silicon Valley is truly the motherland of startups. It is an active, dynamic, vivid, and astonishingly interactive ecosystem that entices any startup founder. I was extremely captivated by the ease with which you can become familiar with the mentality of the people working there as well as with the fact that opportunities lie around every corner. One minute you may be working on your pitch at a local café and the next you may be pitching to the person sitting right next you because they can be anything: from a fellow startup founder to a possible lead or even a private investor.”
And there is more good news and amazing achievements up Tesibit’s alley from the days spent across the Atlantic. “Our U.S. Mission has been the wind beneath our wings: we are close to striking up a deal with our first international client. Investment-wise, the field looks equally promising on locking in seed-funding as we have earned the vigorous interest of two private investors.”
Reaching zenith – The Accelerator 2016: Takeoff
Last Friday marked the official ending of the third and uber-rigorous cycle of The Accelerator. Metavallon and Tesibit celebrated the zenith of the acceleration process with an intimate event that gathered up Metavallon’s most engaged mentors, program Partners and Innovation Allies. During the event, the team at Tesibit presented the awe-inspiring progress they achieved during the past four months. With an optimized product, a trial client under its belt, and a fast-growing team, Tesibit will be making the most of its key learnings and the 22.000€ pre-seed funding it has received from Metavallon.
“After four intense months, The Accelerator 2016 has finally taken off! We are very proud of the rapid progress achieved by Tesibit. This year, we had the chance to collaborate with an extremely talented team that builds upon an inspiring vision and a disruptive product. We will continuously provide our nurturing support and instructive guidance to Tesibit. This is a venture set up for remarkable success. We are certain that its growth and further advancement will meet and even exceed our high expectations”, remarks the business-driven Founder of Metavallon, Alexandra Choli.
