Alexis Komselis is the Director at the ALBA Hub for Enterprise and Development (AHEAD) since its establishment. AHEAD is the hub that brings together, celebrates and promotes all activities relevant to entrepreneurship at ALBA Graduate Business School at the American College of Greece and beyond. He is an involved member of the Greek entrepreneurial ecosystem. His interest lies in all forms of entrepreneurial activity, has a passion however for new ventures and family businesses. Alexis is an active researcher and the manager of the STEP Project for Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices – a global research initiative hosted by Babson College – for Greece.
He also consults with the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Association as a scientific collaborator for the selection of the Kouros Awards for Entrepreneurship recipients. He enjoys teaching at executive education seminars and further education programs. In the past he has managed the eponymous Stelios Haji-ioannou Award for Young Entrepreneurs in Greece, the Green Dreams Competition for sustainable entrepreneurship and other related competitions. He has also served as an expert trainer in the topic of Family Business Entrepreneurship at the Unit for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ΜΟΚΕ) at the University of Piraeus. Alexis holds an MSc in Entrepreneurship from the University of Aberdeen and a PgDip in Research from Aberdeen Business School.
